<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resettable failed nozzle relief (FNR) valve to be easily reset by an operator with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: A failed nozzle relief valve (FNR valve) has a mechanism for resetting the valve when a filler cap is attached. The FNR valve has an annular seal around an opening part of a filler neck. The annular seal is seated on a ring having at least one opening to form an alternative fluid passage. When the failed nozzle is shut off, the annular seal is separated from the ring, and the opening part is opened to distribute a fluid. Further, the FNR valve has a reset lever, and when the filler cap is attached, the reset lever is depressed downwardly to return the seal to the ring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
