<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a motor without the need of a costly mechanical change by precisely reducing leakage magnetic flux leaking into the motor and its surroundings when currents are applied to coils of electromagnetic brake mechanisms by a simple means, in the motor with a brake of a multi-stage brake structure. <P>SOLUTION: The motor with the brake comprises the two electromagnetic brake mechanisms 8a, 8b arranged at the external periphery of a rotating shaft 4. The electromagnetic brake mechanisms 8a, 8b comprise disk bodies 14a, 14b that rotate together with the rotating shaft 4, movable members 13a, 13b that contact with and separate from the disk bodies 14a, 14b, and electromagnets 12a, 12b that comprise the coils 11a, 11b, and move the movable members 13a, 13b by generating a electromagnetic force by the application of electricity to the coils 11a, 11b. The electromagnets 12a, 12b are driven by applying the currents that are reversed in direction at the respective electromagnets 12a, 12b to the coils 11a, 11b of the electromagnets 12a, 12b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
