PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having high image quality, and to provide electronic equipment using the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprises: a plurality of source signal lines, a plurality of gate signal lines and a transistor on the upside of a substrate; an insulating film on the upside of the transistor; an organic resin film on the upside of the insulation film; and a pixel electrode on the upside of the organic resin film, wherein the insulation film includes any of silicon nitride, silicon oxide and silicon oxide-nitride, the pixel electrode is electrically connected to one of the plurality of source signal lines via the transistor, a gate of the transistor is electrically connected to one of the plurality of gate signal lines, a first image signal is supplied to the pixel electrode via one of the plurality of source signal lines during a first frame period, and a second image signal of polarity opposite to the polarity of the first image signal is supplied to the pixel electrode via one of the source signal lines during a frame period next to the first frame period, wherein the frame frequency is at least 120 Hz.
