PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger for eliminating an easy detachment of a cover, and preventing the cover from being damaged by the detachment when it needs to be detached. SOLUTION: The charger 1 has a charger body 2, the cover 4 for openably and closably covering a battery accommodating section provide in the charger body 2, a pivot member 10 coupled to one end of the cover 4 and turning around a pivot 12, locking protrusion pieces 13 provided in the pivot member 10, an accommodation section 14 provided at one side end of the battery accommodating section in the charger body 2 and accommodating couplings 8 and the pivot member 10 at one end of the cover 4, and engagement rails 16 for elastically engaging and locking the locking protrusion pieces 13 by an insertion of the pivot member 10 into the accommodation section 14.
