PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop driving of a traveling part by interlocking with backward tilting of a seat, by constituting the seat to tilt backward, when body weight of an operator is abnormally deviated to the rear of a machine body, in a riding type work machine of exposing an operator's seat to an external part. SOLUTION: This work vehicle has an HST lever for regulating the longitudinal movement and a speed of the machine body by acting on an HST. The HST lever is constituted for setting an advance/retreat by longitudinally rotating from a neutral position by being energized to the neutral position. The HST lever is provided with a position holding means for stopping the HST lever in an optional position against energizing force. A rotary part is set in a rear part under the seat, and is constituted so that the seat tilts backward with its rotary part as a fulcrum. When the body weight of the operator is abnormally deviated to the rear of the machine body, the seat tilts backward with the rotary part as a fulcrum, and the position holding means of the HST lever is released by interlocking with the backward tilting of the seat, and the released HST lever is returned to the neutral position by the energizing force.
