PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a form for formation of end surfaces of specimens for measurement of the concrete compression strength which is inexpensive and allows convenient formation of the end surfaces and a method of forming end surfaces of concrete specimens, especially porous ones. SOLUTION: The problem can be solved by providing a hollow and columnar form with the bottom and upper surfaces opened. The end surfaces of the bottom and upper surfaces of the form are processed by e.g. cutting so as to be perpendicular to the side surfaces, and the form preferably has a sufficient thickness to secure reliable fixing of a specimen on capping and keep the specimen vertically. One side surface of the form is divided vertically so as to be perpendicular to the end surface, allowing mutual adherence of the divided surfaces by an external force. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
