PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing containers, by which the containers having well-like reaction portions and/or well-like reagent-receiving portions can surely and uniformly be subjected to surface treatments in the wells in good production efficiency without damaging a substrate. SOLUTION: This method for producing containers having well-like reaction portions and/or well-like reagent-receiving portions in a substrate, wherein at least the insides of the well-like reaction portions and/or the well-like reagent-receiving portions are subjected to surface treatments, is characterized by disposing a rod-like upper electrode on the substrate, disposing a lower electrode under the substrate, and having a process for applying a voltage between the electrodes to generate corona discharges, thus applying the corona discharge treatments to the insides of the well-like reaction portions and/or the well-like reagent-receiving portions.
