PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a desired image to be designated from among displayed images, and to enable the designated image to be outputted.

SOLUTION: In the image appreciation system 1 to which the image display device 2 for displaying an image and the data handling device 3 for managing image data are interconnected through a communication line, the image display device 2 is provided with: a storage means 64A for storing the image data received from the data handling device 3; a display means 56 for displaying the image shown by the stored data; and an indication detecting means 54 for detecting that the displayed image is indicated, and the data handling device comprises: an image input means 74 to which the image data are input; a storage means 64B for storing the input image data; a data acquisition means 77 for acquiring from the storage means 64B the image data shown by the information received from the image display device 2; and an output means 76 for outputting the acquired image data.
