<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of simply and stably fabricating a substrate for liquid crystal cell having an alignment control structure and optical compensability. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the substrate for liquid crystal cell having alignment control grooves, an optically anisotropic layer transferred from a transfer material is formed on the surface of a transparent substrate, simultaneously or thereafter groove shaped lacking sections are provided on the optically anisotropic layer, thereby using the lacking sections as the alignment control grooves. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
