PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for testing concrete capable of molding a sample with secured parallelism in both ends, without requiring end face finishing of the sample, and capable of executing a compression test of the concrete under the condition where the quality of the molded sample is maintained, and to provide further a mold for the sample used favorably in the testing method for the concrete. SOLUTION: The method for testing the concrete uses the mold for the sample provided with a bottom lid constituted to bring an upper face into parallel to an under face, a cylindrical side wall erected on the upper face of the bottom lid, and an upper lid fixed onto an upper end of the side wall to bring an under face into parallel to the under face of the bottom lid. The method includes a step of molding the sample using the mold for the sample, a step of installing the sample in a testing device together with the mold for the sample, a step of removing only the side wall of the mold for the sample, and a step of loading compression force onto the sample.
