PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of the inner ring of a cross-groove constant velocity universal joint. SOLUTION: This cross-groove constant velocity universal joint comprises an outer ring 10 having ball grooves 14 in the inner peripheral surface 12, an inner ring 120 having ball grooves 124a, 124b in the outer peripheral surface 122, balls 30 incorporated between the ball grooves 14a, 14b in the outer ring 10 and the ball grooves 124a, 124b in the inner ring 120 formed in pairs, and a cage 40 holding all balls 30 in a same plane.
