PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of a cylinder head while securing a favorable assembling properly in a production line, in camshaft support structure for an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: A lash adjuster support part 40 is integrally molded with a lower cam carrier 50. The lower cam carrier 50 is fixed to a cylinder head 12 incorporating an intake valve 20 and an exhaust valve 22 therein. After lash adjusters 60 are set, and intake-side and exhaust-side rocker arms 64, 68 are placed thereon. Camshafts are placed on the lower cam carrier so that the rocker arm 64 is in contact with an intake cam 66 and the rocker arm 68 is in contact with an exhaust cam 70. The upper cam carrier 44 is assembled to the lower cam carrier 50 so as to complete the camshaft support structure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
