PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal with a television broadcast receiving function that automatically sets a reproduction format of a television broadcast according to the kind of contents of the television broadcast. SOLUTION: A tuner section 101 receives a television broadcast signal. A decision section 104 refers to electronic program guide information in a storage section 103 to decide the category of the television broadcast to be reproduced by a display section 106 from information on the the channel, and date and time of the television broadcast. A control section 105 refers to a reproduction format table in the storage section 103 according to the category of the television broadcast decided by the decision section 104 and reproduces the television broadcast received by the television tuner section 101 by the display section 106 according to reproduction settings corresponding to the category.
