<p>A method for media negotiation. The method includes: AF (Application Function) sends to PDF (Policy Decision Function)/SPDF (Service-based PDF) a resource requirement message with bandwidth requirement scope parameters of the media type, the PDF/SPDF makes the policy analysis, gets the available bandwidth which meets the bandwidth requirement scope for the requiring user, and then replies the available bandwidth to AF. AF ascertains or changes the coding/decoding mode for the media type according to the available bandwidth. The present invention also provides a system, AF, PDF/SPDF and A-RACF corresponding to the method.</p> |
