<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition which can be used as a moisture absorbent for organic EL devices or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The photocurable hygroscopic composition contains (a) a moisture-reactive organic metal compound, (b) a (meth)acrylate, (c) a carboxyl group-containing polymerizable monomer and (d) a photopolymerization initiator. The content of the moisture-reactive organic metal compound (a) accounts for 5-70 wt.% of the total composition.
