PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid prism which is small-size and is excellent in efficiency and response in changing the angle. SOLUTION: The fluid prism is provided with first transparent plate 71 and second transparent plate 78 which are arranged oppositely leaving an interval from each other, transparent liquid 76 which is arranged between both transparent plates and is light-transmissive and a variable mechanism 80 which swings the swingable second transparent plate 78 and changes the angle between both of the transparent plates. The variable mechanism 80 is provided with an electric wire (conductive path) 81 as a magnetic field operation part disposed integrally with the swingable second transparent plate 78 and an external magnetic field application means 83 which applies an external magnetic field for the electric wire 81 from a prescribed direction, wherein the swingable second transparent plate 78 is swung in accordance with the interaction generated by application of the external magnetic field from the external magnetic field application means 83 to the electric wire 81.
