PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery keeping high sealing performance by surely sealing an electrolyte inlet for a long time, and to provide a method of manufacturing the sealed battery. SOLUTION: The sealed battery 100 includes a battery case 110 for receiving electrolyte. The battery case 110 includes an electrolyte inlet member 140 made of resin and for pouring the electrolyte into the battery case 110; and a sealing member 160 made of metal and for sealing the electrolyte inlet 141. The resin forming the electrolyte inlet member 140 is fluid-tightly welded to the sealing member 160 to seal the electrolyte inlet 141. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
