<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a probability that a user has to wait due to an image stabilization in the course of a printing in an image forming apparatus in which the image stabilization is performed essentially for every predetermined number of sheets of prints. <P>SOLUTION: A print count history recording section 301 records the number of prints counted per unit time for each day of week in a predetermined period. An totalization section 303 counts the average number of prints per unit time for each day of week in the predetermined period. After determining the use time zone of each day, the time zone when the average number of prints is the smallest is regarded as a priority time zone, and the time zone when the average number of prints is the largest is regarded as an inhibition time zone. A control timing determination section 305 starts the image stabilizing control execution section 306 so that an image stabilizing operation is executed during the priority time zone. When the number of prints reaches a predetermined value during the inhibition time zone, the apparatus waits for the execution of the image stabilizing operation until the subsequent time zone. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
