<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser printer capable of readily setting a temperature range of a laser scanning unit without attaching an additional heater. <P>SOLUTION: A photoreceptor 3, the laser scanning unit 7, a fixing unit 5 and a fan 10 are provided to respective prescribed positions in a housing 2. A duct 8 for guiding the heat generated on the fixing unit 5 to the fan 10 is provided between the laser scanning unit 7 and the fixing unit 5. An opening section 8a opened toward the side of the laser scanning unit 7 is provided to an intermediate portion of the duct 8 and a movable valve 11 for opening or closing the opening section 8a is provided thereto.
