PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the risk of vibration of a mobile body and tilting of a posture of the mobile body when the mobile body reciprocates, without an area of sliding contact between the mobile body and a sliding contact supporting member being increased in a mobile body supporting device which supports the mobile body to be able to reciprocate in a predetermined reciprocating movement direction. SOLUTION: A carriage 61 is pivotally supported to slide in contact by a bearing part 611 and a bearing part 612 at the side of a carriage guide shaft 51. A permanent magnet 71 is disposed at the rear side of the bearing part 611 and the bearing part 612 of the carriage 61. A force for the carriage 61 to be pressed to the carriage guide shaft 51 (pressing force B) acts to the carriage 61 by a magnetic force A whereby the permanent magnet 71 attracts the carriage guide shaft 51 comprised of a "ferromagnetic body". The permanent magnet 71 is set to the carriage 61 so that the magnetic force A acts in a non-contact state to the carriage guide shaft 51. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
