PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a durable organic electroluminescence element having high luminous efficiency, and to provide a suitable aromatic ring compound used for the organic electroluminescence element. SOLUTION: In the organic electroluminescence element having a layer of organic compound layer between a pair of electrodes, a type of compound expressed by a general formula (I) is contained in the organic compound layer. In the general formula (I); Ar<SP>1</SP>indicates an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or an aromatic hetero ring, n indicates an integer of 7 or larger, n Ar<SP>1</SP>'s may be identical or different, and the connection positions of Ar<SP>1</SP>'s may be identical or different.
