PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict vibration during high speed rotation, and suppress cost increase. SOLUTION: In a supercharger ECU in the electric supercharger, a program is executed which includes a step S102 to detect differential magnetic force Mx, My when the electric charger is rotated in a non-energized state (S100: YES), a step S104 to determine energization quantity in X- and Y-directions, a step S106 to energize a stator, and a step S108 to judge whether or not assist by an electrical rotating machine is unnecessary.
