PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an interference between a seat cushion and a seat back to be avoided by a comparatively simple constitution in a double-folding mechanism in which a seat is automatically switched to a storage posture state by a single operation. SOLUTION: This double folding mechanism 10 for vehicle seat raises the seat cushion 2 from a car body floor F by the operation of a first operation lever T, and at the same time, places the vehicle seat under a housed posture state by tilting the seat back 3 in an installation space P for the seat cushion 2. Then, on a second connecting structure 30 constituting a connecting structure between the seat back 3 and the car body floor F, a tenacity damper is provided. The tenacity damper suppresses the turning speed of the seat back 3 in such a manner that the turning end section of the seat back 3 may be tilted into the turning locus 2t of the seat cushion 2 after the seat cushion 2 has been raised to a turning position which is shifted from a turning locus 3t of the seat back 3.
