The invention relates to a device for the generation of hydrogen gas by dehydrogenation of hydrocarbon fuels, comprising a fuel reservoir (1), connected to a reactor (4) by means of a fuel line (2), to supply said reactor (4) with fuel, the reactor (4) has a first discharge (3) for recycling of residual hydrocarbons generated during dehydrogenation to the fuel reservoir (1) and optionally cooperates with a catalyst, wherein a first design is characterised in that the fuel reservoir (1) is in contact with a heat exchanger (6) by means of the fuel line (2) and the first discharge (3), the fuel is preheated by the heat exchanger (6) which may be introduced to the reactor (4) by the fuel line (2) and the reactor (4) has a heating device (5) for heating the introduced fuel to reaction temperature (TR), wherein the residual fuel generated by dehydrogenation in the reactor (4) is cooled by the heat exchanger (6) and may be returned to the fuel reservoir (1) and the reactor (4) has a second discharge (7) for the extraction of the hydrogen gas generated on dehydrogenation. |
