<p>The present invention relates to a method for providing content guide information and a system for the same. The method in accordance with the present invention comprises the steps of: a) storing a plurality of content listings, each content listing including content title, broadcasting time and content size, transmitted through a broadcasting network; b) in response to request for content guide information from the user, displaying on user screen some or all of content listings as the content guide information along with information on a remaining storage size; c) in response to a cursor movement signal from a user, moving a cursor on the user screen to mark at least one content from the displayed content listings; and d) displaying simultaneously with the content guide information a size of the marked content along with the remaining storage size, the method being such that possibility of download of the mark content and the remaining storage size after the marked content has been downloaded are checked as the curser moves within the content listings. Along with efficient guide to content listings, possibility of the download of the marked content and the storage capacity after the content has been downloaded can be simultaneously checked within one content guide table. Therefore, the download failure of the content due to the shortage of storage capacity can be significantly reduced.</p> |
