<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of accurately detecting an edge (contour) of an image while excluding the effect of noise, and executing edge processing without making unnaturalness of the image data conspicuous even when the image data include many random noises and fixed pattern noises or digital zoom processing is implemented. <P>SOLUTION: When an average of calculated pixel values indicates a virtual edge and image data of the calculated pixel values include no noise, an image data processing method disclosed herein uses image data of a target pixel for the image data of the target pixel, and in other cases, the image data processing method uses a median value MD for the image data of the target pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
