<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of restoring a content downconverted by a move to another recording medium to original image quality. <P>SOLUTION: In the move accompanied by the downconversion from a storage part 19, an output part 11 downconverts high-quality data that are contents recorded in the storage part 19 into low-quality data to convert the high-quality data into a nonreproductive state in the absence of the low-quality data. The output part 11 leaves the high-quality data of the nonreproductive state in the storage part 19, and outputs the low-quality data to the other recording medium. In a move of the low-quality data to the storage part 19, when the high-quality data of the nonreproductive state in the absence of the low-quality data is present in the storage part, an input part 12 restores the high-quality data to a reproducible state by use of the low-quality data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
