<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor and a gas sensor, capable of preventing an inner cylinder material and an outer cylinder material from being corroded by deposition of salt water, and capable of enhancing watertightness. <P>SOLUTION: In this gas sensor 1, the formation position of a connection caulking part 75 is regulated to be brought within a range of 1.5m from an outer cylinder tip part 64a of an outer cylinder tip side part 64. The tip part of the outer cylinder tip side part 64 is also caulked thereby to an outer surface of an inner cylinder tip side barrel part 61, and the tip part of the outer cylinder tip side part 64 is thereby brought into close contact with the outer surface of the inner cylinder tip side barrel part 61. Salt water or the like is not pooled between the tip part of the outer cylinder tip side part 64 and the outer surface of the inner cylinder tip side barrel part 61, since a clearance is not formed therein between the tip part of the outer cylinder tip side part 64 and the outer surface of the inner cylinder tip side barrel part 61. Furthermore, no chemical reaction will occur between the tip part of the outer cylinder tip side part 64 and the inner cylinder tip side barrel part 61, since salt water or the like is not pooled therebetween, and the inner cylinder material 14 and the outer cylinder material 16 are prevented thereby from corroding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
