PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cellulose acylate solid composition in which fine particles are uniformly dispersed and which is used suitably for a film formation, and a film containing the solid composition.

SOLUTION: This cellulose acylate solid composition containing the cellulose acylate and fine particles is produced by re-precipitating cellulose acylate solution containing the fine particles. Also, the film is produced from the solid composition. The film is useful as a phase difference film and can be utilized as a polarizing plate.
