<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent overshoot of a DC voltage by controlling such that when an AC voltage is altered while outputting a high voltage in which an AC voltage is superposed on the DC voltage, the output voltage of the AC voltage generating circuit is gradually altered at a constant voltage level. <P>SOLUTION: The high voltage power source device 3 includes a DC voltage generating circuit 247 that outputs a DC voltage, and the AC voltage generating circuit that outputs an AC voltage. The high voltage power source device 3 outputs a high voltage in which the AC voltage is superposed on the DC voltage.
