PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge head which permits the discharge of high viscosity and fine liquid droplets and can realize favorable image quality. SOLUTION: The liquid discharge head is provided with a liquid channel, at least one wall surface of which is formed of an elastic member, nozzles provided at one end of the liquid channel and a pressure generation means to generate pressure pulsation waves in a liquid in the liquid channel. The liquid channel and the pressure generation means are structured so as to make pressure pulsation waves propagate in the liquid channel as solitons. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
