PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet head which prevents an adhesive from adhering to a surface to be joined to a head case of a sealing plate, in the jointing of each channel unit component member, and which can enhance the durability of a press mold in the manufacture of the sealing plate. SOLUTION: The recording head comprises: a channel unit 11 which comprises a channel forming substrate 30, a nozzle forming substrate 31 and a diaphragm 29, and which is unitized by joining the nozzle forming substrate to one surface of the channel forming substrate 30 and joining the diaphragm to the other surface thereof, so as to form a series of ink channels leading to a nozzle opening 10 from a common ink chamber 7 through a pressure chamber 9; and the head case for joining and fixing a diaphragm-side surface of the channel unit. The diaphragm is composed of a composite plate material which comprises a supporting plate 37 composed of a metallic base material, and an elastic film 38 joined to one surface of the supporting plate.
