PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which can express innumerable neutral colors only by preparing several kinds of elementary color coatings, prevents the appearance of the influence of a pigment relatively low in durability even when pigments different in durability are used and the occurrence of flocculation of a pigment is not caused even in a hypochromic coating, and can easily form a coating layer having neutral colors of innumerable hues. SOLUTION: In a decorative article and its manufacturing method, a plurality of transparent colored layers in which a pigment is dispersed finely in a coat-forming resin are laminated on the surface of a substrate, and the transparent colored layers have different hues.
