An oil pump of an automatic transmission is provided to prevent cavitation or pulsation and reduce noise and vibration by discharging residual oil through an air chamber to an outlet. A housing(2) includes a pump room, an inlet, and an outlet. A driving gear and a driven gear are mounted into the pump room. The inlet and the outlet of the housing are used for receiving and discharging oil. A cover(4) is used for sealing the pump room. The cover includes a lockup clutch release oil inlet and a lockup clutch release oil outlet. The lockup clutch release oil inlet and the lockup clutch release oil outlet separated from a lockup clutch release flow path. An air chamber is formed at the housing in order to reduce a pulsating effect in an operating process of a lockup clutch and an oil discharging process. |
