<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide switchgear wherein no high field is produced regardless of the presence or absence of an air gap between a main circuit conductor and an insert by removing an edge from an end of the main circuit conductor. <P>SOLUTION: The switchgear is so constructed that it includes: the main circuit conductor 1 that is placed in insulating gas filled in a grounded metal case 10, has a coupling portion 1a at its tip, and has its outer circumferential surface extended to the coupling portion 1a formed as a curved surface 1b; and a field mitigating means 4. The field mitigating means 4 has: the conductive or semiconductive insert 2 one end of which is an attaching portion 2a so formed that it can be coupled with the coupling portion 1a and which has a curved surface 2c including an end face formed at the other end; and an insulating coating 3 that covers the insert 2 so that part of the attaching portion 2a of the insert 2 is exposed in the insulating gas and is so constructed that the space field on its surface has a thickness not exceeding that of the ionization field of the insulating gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
