PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify an address of user data to be registered as an error in a disk defect inspection. SOLUTION: Data write processing by a write-element is performed while a read-element is positioned at a target position when normal data is read. When a predetermined error occurs in data write processing, an address of user data in which normal data is written with the defective servo data as a target is expected. An address of the servo data used as the target in writing normal data for an address of the expected user data is specified. When the address of the specified servo data coincides with the address of the defective servo data, the expected address of the user data is registered as the error. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
