PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce odor arising when a toner image is thermally fixed in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The quantity of furan compound diffused from a paper sheet being the electrophotographic transfer paper is made equal to or below a prescribed quantity, then, the odor arising when the toner image is thermally fixed in the electrophotographic image forming apparatus is reduced. In the electrophotographic image recording method, the quantity of the furan compound in gas sucked from a paper discharge port during continuous printing is made equal to or below a prescribed quantity, then, the odor arising when the toner image is thermally fixed is reduced.
