PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray inspection apparatus 11 capable of keeping brightness always constant without lowering the quality of an output image. SOLUTION: An inspection object 13 is irradiated with an X-ray from an X-ray generation means 17, and the X-ray transmitted through the inspection object 13 is converted into a visible light image by an X-ray imaging tube 27, and the visible light image is photographed by a camera 28. An image photographed by the camera 28 is output to a monitor 22 through a camera control unit 19. The camera control unit 19 determines excess/deficiency of brightness by performing feedback of brightness information of the image output from the monitor 22, and adjusts an acceleration voltage of the X-ray imaging tube 27 and opening of a stop of the camera 28. The brightness of the output image is kept always constant by feedback control. When the brightness is deficient, adjustment is performed in the order of heightening of the acceleration voltage of the X-ray imaging tube 27 and then enlargement of the opening of the stop of the camera 28, to thereby keep the brightness constant without lowering the quality of the output image.
