PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition excellent in sheet moldability, abrasion resistance under severe conditions, hardness, and rubber strength, and a tire having a clinch and/or an apex using the same. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises 100 pts.wt. rubber component containing a natural rubber and/or an epoxidized natural rubber, not less than 30 pts.wt. silica, not more than 25 pts.wt. carbon black, and 0.1-0.8 pt.wt. peptizer.
