PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance method and a robot controller capable of efficiently performing maintenance and failure diagnosis without reducing productivity. SOLUTION: A user side robot system UR1 includes a robot RB, the robot controller 1, a personal computer PC, and a teaching pendant TP. A user side management system UR2 and a maker side management system MR include personal computers APC1, APC2 for analysis, respectively. In the robot controller 1, a panel side USB connector 20 connected to a USB connector 22a of a USB memory 22 capable of exchanging various data between the robot controller 1 and the personal computers APC1, APC2 for analysis is formed and a trigger button TB capable of specifying the timing of the data storage is provided on the robot controller 1.
