PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaction vessel comprising a base material and protective films, free of deformation in its molding and of deformation in protective film-forming step and reaction detecting step thereafter, particularly highly transparent in consideration of optical detection via the bottom of reaction detective parts. SOLUTION: The reaction vessel is such that a substrate is provided with multiple well-like reaction detective parts and protective films are laminated by heat sealing on the reaction detective parts. In this reaction vessel, the substrate consists mainly of a resin composition with a coefficient of thermal expansion of 100-2,000_(10<SP>-5</SP>/°C) at 20-120°C and the light transmittance in the visible light region between the bottom of the well-like reaction detective parts and the substrate reverse face is 60-90%.
