PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dropping of seedlings transported by seedling takeout claws of a transplanter to ridges. SOLUTION: In a transplanter 1 equipped with a seedling takeout mechanism 24 having a lateral pair of seedling takeout claws 32 which take out a seedling N from a seedling tray at a seedling takeout position and discharge the seedlings N at seedling discharge positions, a seedling receiving means 28 receiving seedlings N transported by the lateral pair of the seedling takeout claws 32 is installed below a transport locus M of the lateral pair of the seedling takeout claws 32 transporting the seedling N from the seedling takeout position to a seedling releasing position.
