The method involves a learning phase with an operating step/sequence transformed into an optical and/or acoustic interaction pattern that is stored with a device reaction pattern, a test build-up phase with the standard configuration adapted to the interaction pattern to yield an adapted stimulation pattern configuration, a test phase with the stimulation pattern configuration automatically controlled, the device function detected using a real reaction patterns synchronized with the interaction pattern and actual and stored reaction patterns compared to produce an assessment data record. An independent claim is also included for a test device for testing a technical device with a user interface.
