<p>A sewing machine fabric cutting device is provided in a sewing machine for forming button holes composed of an eyelet portion and linear portion with a knife for cutting the sewing object to produce button holes, in which the knife is provided with an eyelet knife portion for forming an eyelet portion of an eyelet hole out of button holes that consist of an eyelet portion and a linear portion, and a linear knife portion for forming a linear slit capable of serving as the linear portion of the eyelet hole. Such device is capable of producing eyelet holes of various lengths and linear holes without changing knife and its receiver. A sewing machine fabric cutting device is provided in a sewing machine for forming button holes composed of an eyelet portion and linear portion with a knife for cutting the sewing object to produce button holes, in which the knife is provided with an eyelet knife portion for forming an eyelet portion of an eyelet hole out of button holes that consist of an eyelet portion and a linear portion, and a linear knife portion for forming a linear slit capable of serving as the linear portion of the eyelet hole. An independent claim is also included for a similar device in which the linear knife portion for forming linear holes is separately provided below the eyelet knife portion for eyelet-hole formation, and the sewing object can be selectively reached by moving and lowering the linear knife portion to a first position or to a second position by lowering the eyelet knife portion and linear knife portion from a raised position, optionally with a regulating means to control the movement between the first and second positions, and a means to control movement of the sewing object between the two knife portions at arranged directions for a specified distance, all which are integrated and finally the knife for fabric cutting is lowered to the second position for cutting off the sewing object.</p> |
