A method for welding a plastics plate (4) at an angle to a set of plastics sheets (7) involves (a) placing the plate opposite to the sheets, with the ends slightly spaced, (b) inserting a welding plate (WP) (1) between the plate and sheets, (c) heating the WP, (d) pressing the plate and sheet ends onto the WP (or vice versa), causing heating of the plastics to the welding temperature and (e) removing the WP and pressing (and thus welding) the plate and sheet ends together. An independent claim is included for apparatus for carrying out the process, having a device for controlling the movement time point and time, the pressing time point and time and/or the pressing pressure of the welding plate (1), plastics sheets (7) and/or plastics plate (4). |
