A clip for supporting a pipe or the like from a structural member 44, comprises two separate clips 10, 12 for engaging the pipe and the support 44 respectively, and means for securing them together, as shown in Fig. 3. The support-gripping clip consists of a base 15 with toothed arms 24, 32, 34 projecting from it. These arms lie within the support 44, Fig. 3, and the clip is retained by a barb 42 on a spring-arm 40. The pipe-gripping clip 12, Fig. 2, has a pair of toothed jaws 58, 60 for gripping the pipe, and a base 62 which interlocks with the base 15 of the other clip 10 which passes under bent-over tongues 84 and is secured by tongue 78 passing through aperture 46 and by a spring latch 86, 88 engaging aperture 50. As shown in Fig. 3 the support is channel shaped to embrace the top clip, but the support 90 may be embraced by the toothed arms 24, 32, 34, as shown in Fig. 6. In this case, the clip is shown supporting an outlet box 92 by means of screws 94, 96 passing through holes 54, 22 in the base 15, but a lower clip 12 may be used in addition. |
