A locking device 1 designed to maintain the connection between a male connecting element (plug) 12 and a female connecting element (socket) 14. The locking device 1 comprises a sleeve 2 provided with a female thread 15 designed to interact with a male thread 16 of the female connecting element 13 and indexing means 6, 7 housed in the sleeve 2 and designed to interact with the male connecting element 12 and to be indexed during screwing of the locking device 1 onto the female connecting element 13. The locking device also comprises a compression device 3 mounted so that it sides in the sleeve 2 and is capable of increasing a contact pressure between the indexing means 6, 7 after screwing. The indexing means preferably comprise ratchet teeth such that the action of unscrewing requires a greater force than the action of screwing. The locking device 1 has improved anti-decoupling characteristics preventing accidental uncoupling due to vibrations. |
