APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR REDUCING NOISE FROM IMAGE SENSOR

An apparatus and a method for reducing a noise of an image sensor are provided to adaptively reduce the noise generated in the image sensor due to a characteristic of the noise and photographing information by using a kernel for performing a convolution and standardization. A noise level setting unit(120) sets a noise level representing an image frame expressed as one component in a certain color space. A kernel generating unit(130) generates a kernel for filtering pixels composing the image frame on the basis of the noise level. A filter applying unit(150) performs a convolution for the pixels by using the generated kernel, and standardizes the convolution performed result.
