A clamp 10 for a door comprising: first and second clamp surfaces 12,14; a base plate 11, in which the clamp surfaces 12,14 are supported and able to move with respect to each other, and a locking means 24 for locking the clamp surfaces 12,14 when desired. The clamp may be adjustable in height via the provision of moveable feet (Figure 2, 26a, 26b), 26c, 26d and include one or more spirit levels. Synthetic materials such as plastic 18 can be used on the clamping surfaces 12,14 and the feet to prevent marking.
