A light emitting diode is provided to prevent deterioration and damage of a pixel circuit unit due to external moisture and oxygen by including a protecting unit with a bending unit to partially cover a side of a substrate. A light emitting diode includes a substrate(32), a pixel circuit unit(34), and a protecting unit(36). The pixel circuit unit(34) is formed on the substrate(32). The protecting unit(36) seals the pixel circuit unit(34), and a part of an end thereof is bent to cover a side of the substrate(32). The substrate(32) includes a wiring unit which transmits a signal to the pixel circuit unit(34), an outer circuit unit which controls a drive-related signal of the pixel circuit unit(34), and a pad unit which electrically connects the wiring unit. A part of the protecting unit(36) is bent to open a part or a whole part of the side of the substrate(32) adjacent to the pad unit. |
